Perry Moore, “Chronicles of Narnia” Producer Dead at 39!

Wow, some shocking news – Perry Moore has been reported dead, Thursday morning in his NYC residence.  The apparent cause was an overdose of OxyContin.

The 39 year old was the executive producer of “The Chronicles of Narnia” Trilogy!

Can you say Cha-Ching?

The 3 movies: “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”, “Prince Caspian” and “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” all have combined to make 1.5 billion dollars!

Moor was working on the fourth, “The Magic Nephew”.

Moore was known to be homosexual and even developed his own gay superhero basketball player.

Openly homosexual, Moore was passionate about the portrayal of gay characters in comics. Wanting to create a positive, gay super, Moore wrote “Hero,” the story of Thom Creed, a high school basketball star who must simultaneously deal with both his emerging powers and sexuality.

Moore wrote on his website: “Like most young people, I grew up feeling alienated and different–for very specific reasons in my case–in a place that didn’t value differences. I also have this borderline-crazy belief in the power of literature to change the universe. So I’d always wanted to tell this story.”

“We’re so sad,” his father, Bill Moore, told The Hollywood Reporter. “He’s been able to reach out and touch a lot of people.”

I still struggle with drug abuse, over dosing and dangerous behavior of the rich.  I don’t think it’s more common now, I just think it’s more publicized.

I hope Charlie Sheen is reading.  R.I.P.
