Lamar Odom Traded to Dallas, Insiders say he Requested to be Traded.

It’s funny; usually when a player gets traded it’s a big deal for the team that loses him, and a huge deal for the team that gets the new player.  Well now it’s a big deal for Kardashian fans everywhere.

Lamar moving to Dallas means that Khloe will be picking herself up and moving to Texas.

Late Friday there was a sigh of relief when they thought that Odom would be going to the Hornets (New Orleans) but that deal was axed and things seemed to settle down.  Then in a surprise tweet – from one of my Kardashian informants I learned that he was traded to Dallas.

Khloe was quick to tweet about it, even shrugging off rumors that she was the cause of the trade.

Lamar wanted out and Kobe is Pissed about the Trade

Kobe Bryant was upset about losing the sixth man of the year to the Dallas, Mavericks; the team who swept them to win the championship last year.

“I don’t like it,” Bryant said Sunday, the third day of training camp. “I’ve known Lamar for a long time, and for the team itself, he’s meant a lot in terms of his versatility, his personality. He’s a big presence for us in the locker room, just from a team chemistry standpoint. He’s great at bringing guys together and things of that nature.

“I trust management knows what they’re doing. I let them do their jobs, I never get in the way but it’s tough. You’re talking about sixth man of the year last year. He played lights out.”

Lamar was upset that he was included in a deal that was killed by David Stern,

The deal included moving Odom and Lakers forward Pau Gasol to New Orleans for Hornets guard Paul. Gasol would then have been sent to Houston for Luis Scola, Kevin Martin, Goran Dragic and a 2012 first-round pick.

Lamar was so upset that he was being considered for the trade, he didn’t practice Friday  and had a sitdown with Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak where he asked to be traded.  Kupchak asked him to rethink his decision and Odom wanted the trade.  Seeing the opportunity to save nearly 18 million in Odom’s salary and getting rid of a player that doesn’t want to be there, they traded him.

It should be a very interesting basketball season.
