Pink Drops First Single ‘What About Us’ From Her Upcoming Album Beautiful Trauma, Listen To The Track Inside! (VIDEO)

It’s been a hot minute since Pink (P!nk?) has smacked us with some new jams. Her last album, The Truth About Love, was released back in 2012, so it’s been a good five years since she’s released a new album. It’s been five years since ‘Just Give Me a Reason‘ was released. Can you believe that? I still rock to that song.

The 37-year-old singer is back and she’s about to drop her seventh studio album Beautiful Trauma on October 13. And to get us excited for the new album, she released her first single, What About Us.

It’s a ballad, and I hate to say it, but it’s not good. You can tell she’s going for that emotional, empowering message, but it’s just full of one Tumblr quote after the other. It doesn’t feel genuine. It feels like someone trying to profit off the world being in a miserable place right now.

In the song, she sings, “We are problems that want to be solved / We are children that need to be loved / We are willing / We came when you called / But then you fooled us / Enough is enough.”

Jesus. These artists aren’t even trying anymore. She is right, though. Enough is enough. Stop with this cookie-cutter music. Make something that’s true to you. Why is everything about the money now? This is clearly a $$$ song. She knows it will get played all over the radio. This is a song radio stations eat the f**k up.

Hopefully the rest of the songs on this new album are better, but I don’t have high hopes. But hey, at least she’s proud of it…
