T-Pain Gets Called Out and Criticized by Quincy Jones and Responds in the Most Humble Way Possible on Social Media! He Also Says Quincy is Spitting Straight Facts!

Quincy Jones interview with Vulture is still causing shockwaves on social media.  He basically spilled the tea on Richard Pryor, Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump, James Baldwin, Marlon Brando, Oprah, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jacks and many more. If you haven’t read it yet….take a peak.  It’s lengthy but a good read.

During the now epic interview, he called out T-Pain.  When asked about the last mistake he made, it involved the Auto-tune legend and an album that Quincy regrets doing.  Quincy said that the last album he made back in 2010, called Soul Bossa Nostra was a bad look for him and his legacy.

He explained,

“My last record [2010’s Q: Soul Bossa Nostra]. I was not in favor of doing it, but the rappers wanted to record something as a tribute to me, where they’d do versions of songs that I’d done over my career.  I said to them, “Look, you got to make the music better than we did on the originals.” That didn’t happen. T-Pain, man, he didn’t pay attention to the details.”

This quickly got back to T-Pain and he took to twitter and responded.  Surprisingly he did not dispute what Quincy said, he agreed but provided some background for his fans.

T-Pain is not just talented, he’s also smart.  Quincy is still alive, still powerful in the industry and has a lot of connections.  If he would have gone full Tyrese (vs the Rock) he would literally be stepping on the neck of future opportunities that he might need.  Well played T-Pain. Some celebrities know how to use social media.

For those who don’t think T-Pain has real talent peep below.  These two videos will convince you otherwise.
