Couple Gives Over 20 Workers At Restaurant $100 Tip For Christmas
The feel good Christmas stories keep rolling in, folks. An anonymous couple in Texas walked inside Bush’s Chicken in Georgetown and asked the general manager how many people worked inside the store. He told them 25.
The couple came back a short time later with 25 Christmas cards, and each card contained $100. The couple wants to remain anonymous, but general manager Randy Duncan had to at least share the story.
“I’ve been before where I’ve had one individual get a big tip like that, but not for an entire store,” he told reporters. It’s safe to say, the employees were extremely happy.
Some even got emotional, “”I wanted to cry, but I was like, ‘I can’t do that right now. I’m at work, I’ll cry when I get home,” one employee said. Another employee said she plans to buy socks with the money and donate them to the homeless. Homelessness is a growing problem in the Georgetown/Austin area.
Duncan told reporters that while $100 might not seem like a lot to most people, it means the world to some of his employees…
“A good majority of our workers, even as teenagers are contributing to their households. They’re not just here for extra money or the experience.”
Damn. I went out to eat the other night and left a $10 tip on a $25 bill and I thought I was ballin’…THIS COUPLE COMES IN AND MAKES IT RAIN!
