Bow Wow Arrested In Atlanta For Fighting a Woman; But He’s the One that Looks Beat!
Wow is right! Saturday morning, Bow Wow was arrested in Atlanta for getting into an altercation with a woman. Sources say the woman he was fighting with was his ex, Kyomi Leslie. However I could not find any proof to that. In fact the relationship between the woman and Bow Wow could not be substantiated at the time of arrest according to authorities.
TMZ reported that the incident happened about 4:00 AM. When the police arrived the woman said that Bow Wow assaulted her and he said that she assaulted him.
TMZ has since updated the story as the Fulton County Sherriff’s office says that Bow Wow was officially charged with Battery Substantial Physical Harm.
This is a big deal. Doing some quick internet research, I found out that:
- If the Battery or Domestic Violence Battery resulted in substantial bodily harm (and no deadly weapon was used), then the crime is classified as a Category C Felony with a potential penalty of 1-5 years in prison and a mandatory fine of $10,000.
- If the Battery or Domestic Violence Battery resulted in substantial bodily harm with a deadly weapon being used, then the crime is classified as a Category B Felony with a potential penalty of 1-15 years in prison and a mandatory fine of $10,000.
Both instances are a felony. Regular battery is a misdemeanor. However, no need to worry. Bow Wow is rich and famous, any celebrity attorney worth their law degree will get this knocked down to a minor.
Hopefully he posted bail and will be out in time to enjoy the Superbowl…and maintain any appearances he is scheduled to make. He’s going to need that money for legal fees.
