Feel Good Video: Chadwick Boseman Gives His MTV Award To The Real Life Waffle House Superhero (VIDEO)

The MTV Movie & TV Awards were on last night, and no one really cared. On the list of ‘top awards shows,’ the MTV Movie & TV Awards don’t even make the list.

But that doesn’t mean a rare moment of inspiration/hope can’t happen during them. For example, ‘Black Panther‘ star Chadwick Boseman provided the moment last night.

He won the award for Best Hero at the show, and when he jumped onstage to accept the award, he promptly handed it over to a real life hero named James Shaw Jr.

If that name sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because you remember reading/hearing about how he wrestled an AR-15 from a gunman inside a Waffle House in Tennessee back in April. There truly is no telling how many lives he saved that day.

Boseman surprised Shaw. You can tell by the look on his face that he had no idea. It was a pretty neat moment, and something we need to see more of, especially with all the bullsh*t going on in the world.

Watch the clip below. Skip to around the 1:00 minute mark for the good stuff.
