Taylor Swift Reveals Her Mom Has Been Diagnosed With A Brain Tumor
Taylor Swift is currently going through it right now, in one of the worst ways a person can go through it. As most of you know, Dwayne Johnson recently lost his beloved father, and it was a devastating loss for the actor.
And now Swift is having to face a similar experience. Her mother, Andrea Swift, was diagnosed with breast cancer, and while undergoing chemotherapy for the breast cancer, doctors discovered she also had a brain tumor.
Taylor revealed the terrible news in an emotional interview with Variety…
While she was going through treatment, they found a brain tumor. And the symptoms of what a person goes through when they have a brain tumor is nothing like what we’ve ever been through with her cancer before. So it’s just been a really hard time for us as a family.
This is the main reason Taylor decided to reduce the amount of worldwide stops in her upcoming Lover tour. She will make only four stops in the U.S., and then she’ll go over to Europe for a bit late in the summer.
I mean, we don’t know what is going to happen. We don’t know what treatment we’re going to choose. It just was the decision to make at the time, for right now, for what’s going on. Everyone loves their mom, everyone’s got an important mom.
But for me, she’s really the guiding force. Almost every decision I make, I talk to her about it first. So obviously it was a really big deal to ever speak about her illness.
It’s a tough situation. Obviously, brain tumors are bad news, but many people have went on to live long lives post-surgery. Of course, some are inoperable. We’re not sure what the exact situation is with Taylor’s mother.
In any event, our thoughts and prayers go out to the Swift family. And if you need a reminder of Dwayne’s wise words, check them out below…
