Teen Mom Star Amber Portwood Is Doing Better, Trying To Coparent With Andrew Glennon
We’re trying our best to give you some non-coronavirus related news today, so some of these “stories” might feel like a reach, but hey, it’s slim pickings out here!
You all remember Teen Mom star Amber Portwood’s drama back in July of 2019, right? She was arrested for domestic battery after she allegedly hit her spouse, Andrew Glennon, while he was holding their baby, James.
For a week or so, Portwood was under a no-contact order with her son, which was extremely difficult for her. Thankfully, the order was lifted in late July and she was granted supervised visits.
In October 2019, Amber reached a plea deal. She admitted guilt to one felony charge in exchange for one year of probation and no jail time.
Following the incident, the Never Too Late author ‘kept trying to convince’ herself that she would one day see James again.
In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Amber revealed she is now seeing her baby “fairly a lot” and she is working with Andrew on coparenting.
I am trying to coparent the best way that I can. I get a lot of people tell[ing] me after my days with him: ‘I can tell that you saw James today because you just have that smile on your face.’ When I hear that, I’m like, ‘Yeah. It’s just the truth.’
We’ll see if this incident “woke” her up, so to speak. As some of you may know, she had also been arrested in the past for hitting her first boyfriend, so it seems to be a trend for her.
She definitely has anger issues. Hopefully she is continuing her therapy sessions.
