Kelly Ripa Shares What She Eats In A Day, And It’s Going To Make You Very Sad
So on the Harper’s Bazaar’s YouTube channel, they frequently convince celebrities to share “what I eat in a day” videos. A food journal of sorts, tracking a normal day of eating for them.
Longtime morning show host Kelly Ripa was the latest entry, and man, her diet sounds extremely limiting. It’s certainly no surprise as to why she’s so damn skinny.
She doesn’t “chew” anything before hosting Live With Kelly and Ryan. Each morning, she wakes up and mixes a glass of water with a powder consisting of greens in order to “alkaline her digestive system,” which I don’t even know what the f**k that means.
Should she be doing that to her system? Sounds dangerous.
Then she’ll have a cup of coffee blended with ghee (clarified butter) and vitamins. And then after she is finished with her hosting duties, she splurges with an apple.
When we’re finished, what I will have is a green apple, cut up, and then I take two tablespoons of almond butter and a teaspoon of cinnamon. I blend it all together, I put the apples in there and then I eat that like a porridge, if you will. That is my first chewable food of the day.
And after that, her next meal is a big ol’ salad, of course. She has microgreens, avocado, maybe toasted nuts sprinkled on top.
Then for dinner, she’ll have a smaller, you guessed it, salad.
When it comes to dinner, the All My Children alum eats a smaller version of her midday staple salad and sticks to seasonal vegetables with a plant-based protein. Her favorites include grilled or fried tofu and tahini.
Jesus. There is eating healthy, and then there is whatever the hell this diet is.
The good news is that Ripa says she allows herself to eat cake and cookies during special occasions, like birthdays and holidays. So yeah, there’s that at least.
