CNN Anchor (And Brother To NY Governor) Chris Cuomo Tests Positive For Coronavirus
This might be a surprise to some of you, but CNN anchor Chris Cuomo is indeed related to New York governor Andrew Cuomo. Chris is Andrew’s little brother.
And during this coronavirus pandemic, Andrew has been interviewed by Chris a few times, and it always makes for some quality entertainment.
Typical big brother, little brother teasing…
That was a couple weeks ago. Today, things are a little more serious. Not only is New York dealing with one of the worst outbreaks of the virus in the world, but it was announced today that Chris has tested positive.
He shared the news on his Instagram account…
Sooooo, in these difficult times that seem to get more difficult and complicated day by day, I just found out that I am positive for coronavirus. I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive and I had [a] fever, chills and shortness of breath.
I am quarantined in my basement (which actually makes the rest of the family seem pleased!) I will do my shows from here. We will all best this by being smart and tough and united!
As you can see, he’s still planning on hosting his show, Cuomo Prime Time, which should be interesting to watch. He’s apparently one of the lucky ones who are only experiencing mild symptoms.
Andrew spoke about his younger brother’s positive test during his morning press briefing…
Everyone is subject to this virus. It is the great equalizer. He is going to be fine. He’s young, in good shape, strong, not as strong as he thinks, but he will be fine. I spoke to him this morning and he’s going to be quarantined in his basement at home.
He’s just worried about his daughter and his kids, he hopes he didn’t get them infected.
For those wondering, Chris is 49-years-old and Andrew is 62-years-old, so I suppose if you had to choose, you’d rather Chris get it than Andrew.
