Madonna Is Getting Slammed For Video Of Son Dancing To “Honor” George Floyd (VIDEO)

Oh, no. Madonna has goofed again. On Thursday, at around the same time it was announced that prosecutors were not (yet) charging the cop who murdered George Floyd, Madonna went on her social media accounts to share a video.

The video, which can be seen above, shows her son David Banda dancing to Michael Jackson’s protest song, They Don’t Care About Us.

Madonna captioned the video…

Brutal murder travels around the world. My son David Dances to honor and pay tribute to George and His Family and all Acts of Racism and Discrimination that happen on a daily basis in America. #davidbanda #JusticeforGeorgeFloyd #MichaelJackson.

Of course, Twitter had a problem with this. They slammed the 61-year-old singer for not reading the room.

Former basketball player Rex Chapman said the tweet was possibly the “worst tweet of all time” and while that may have been true at the time, it was quickly replaced by Trump’s tweet later in the night.

Other users slammed Madonna for her “self-absorbed celebrity” while others called the video “trash” and “deeply disrespectful.”

It’s worth noting that before posting this video, Madonna did address Floyd’s murder in a more direct manner…

Watching this Cop suffocate George Floyd with his knee on his neck, handcuffed and helpless, crying for his life with his face in the street is the most sickening, heartbreaking thing I’ve seen in a long time. This has to stop!! … God Bless you George Floyd I’m so sorry for you and your family. And all the senseless killings that have gone before you.

According to the people of Twitter, she should have left it there.

What do you think? Is the video offensive? Or are people overreacting?
