Antonio Banderas Is The Latest Celebrity To Be Diagnosed With The Coronavirus…ON HIS 60TH BIRTHDAY!
Yeah. The coronavirus is still a thing, unfortunately. We’ve been dealing with the virus for six months now, and it feels like it’s never going to end. Obviously it will end, but right now, that light at the end of the tunnel is dim.
The latest celebrity to be diagnosed with the virus is Antonio Banderas. On Monday (August 10) the actor went on his Twitter account to inform his followers he’d be spending his 60th birthday in quarantine.
I want to make public that today… I am forced to celebrate my 60th birthday following quarantine after having tested positive for the COVID-19 disease, caused by the coronavirus. I would like to add that I am relatively OK, just a little more tired than usual and confident to recover as soon as possible following the medical indications that I hope will allow me to overcome the infectious process that I suffer and that people is affecting around the planet.
He said that he’ll be using the time in quarantine to read, write and rest. So who knows, maybe he’ll come out of this with a script or something.
At 60-years-old, Banderas is near the the “high risk” age for the virus; however, he’s in pretty damn good shape. He’s probably not your typical 60-year-old.
I mean, both Tom Hanks (64) and his wife, Rita Wilson survived it. And I believe Hanks was high risk due to his diabetes, so yeah…Banderas should be okay.
Still though, sucks to have to celebrate your 60th birthday in isolation. Maybe his friends will throw him a zoom party.
