Chet Hanks Brings Out His Best Jamaican Accent To Impress Adele After She Posts Bikini Photo
Oh lord. 2020 is getting weird now. As you may have heard, Adele came under fire recently and was accused of cultural appropriation after she shared a photo on her Instagram account, which featured herself wearing Bantu knots and a Jamaican flag bikini top.
“Happy what would be Notting Hill Carnival my beloved London,” the 32-year-old singer captioned the photo.
According to a super quick Google search, this is what the festival is all about…
The history of Notting Hill Carnival represents the resilience and cultural diversity of the communities of London. Despite the political pressures Notting Hill carnival has grown and thrived and represents a space for challenge and community cohesion.
So I suppose Adele thought she was contributing to the cohesiveness? I don’t know. At the end of the day, she probably just wanted to show off her slimmer body, and it looks like the thirst trap worked, ’cause Chet Hanks is now shooting his shot.
He went on his Instagram account and talked to the camera from his car while blasting Adele’s ‘Set Fire to the Rain‘ on the radio.
He spoke in a faux Jamaican accent, “Adele, Adele, Adele! After I see your picture one day, it sweep me. Man, I tell no lie, my girl, hairstyle fit ya. Big up yourself!”
As you can see, he’s begging for someone to connect him with Adele. It’s difficult to tell if he’s serious, of he simply knew this would get some laughs.
Whatever the case, 2020 continues to disappoint…but also amuse?
