Kanye West Talks About God, God, God, Abortion, God, God, Taylor Swift, And God On Nick Cannon’s Podcast
Kanye West sat down with Nick Cannon for a lengthy chat on Cannon’s podcast, Cannon’s Class. The interview was so lengthy that Cannon had to break it up in two parts.
During “Part One” West talked a lot about God. 90% of the interview was about God. Even if the question wasn’t directly about God, West found a way to mention God.
For example, Cannon asked about that infamous Taylor Swift moment at the 2009 VMAs, and West basically said it was God who gave him the strength to jump on stage and “stand up” for Beyonce, ’cause God cares deeply about the VMAs.
If God ain’t want me to run on stage and say Beyonce had the best video, he wouldn’t have sat me in the front row. I would’ve been sitting in the back and they would’ve made it the first award and he wouldn’t have made it so ridiculous, because I had never heard of this person before and ‘Single Ladies’ is one of the greatest videos of all time.
He also talked about his abortion story at his campaign rally in South Carolina. He said that his speech has saved lives.
He is a soul saver…
For anyone who wants to tear me down for crying, you realize that because of South Carolina, there are people who have decided to have a child? So when I talk to my father, my father made me apologize to him for bringing this up publicly. He also said that the abortion culture teaches people that a child isn’t a real soul.
Kanye also talked about being left off the Forbe’s billionaire list, and somehow made that about God as well.
What [God] says is He says, ‘None of that matters.’ I went in from being snubbed by a magazine, but I was recognized by God. I got snubbed off the Forbes list for two years that they said I wasn’t a billionaire. How you jump from a net worth of $240 million to $3.3 billion unless you been snubbed? And it felt like we not gonna allow people to know that someone that didn’t follow our rules could actually make it. Then God gave increase.
During the interview, Kanye revealed he spent $50 million last year on his Sunday Service, if you add up the flights and operas. He said instead of spending money on marketing for Yeezy, he took all the cash and invested in spreading gospel around the world.
So yeah, there you have it. Kanye is a man of God. Personally though, if Kanye is the best God has to offer, God needs to step up his game.
