Will Smith Drops Trailer For ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Reunion, And It May Make You Cry!
We all know that there is a ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air‘ drama reboot in the works. It’s being described as a dramatic reimagining of the comedic sitcom. It will reportedly dive deeper into “the inherent conflicts, emotions and biases of what it means to be a Black man in America today.”
But before we get to the reboot, the original cast of the show still has something to say.
Will Smith surprised his fans today by dropping a trailer for the upcoming Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion special. The beloved sitcom premiered 30 years ago, and to celebrate, Smith got the cast back together to relive some pretty special memories.
In the trailer, the cast explores the old set and talks about their time on the show. It promises several laughs, but also a few heartfelt moments, especially while talking about the late James Avery.
Additionally, Smith drops a pretty huge surprise in the trailer. A surprise that his cast members didn’t even know about.
Smith said he “couldn’t celebrate 30 years of Fresh Prince without Janet.” For fans, that Janet is of course Janet Louise Hubert, who originally played Aunt Vivian Banks. The two have infamously not been on the best footing since she was axed after the third season.
Insiders say the two stars have an emotional and candid conversation, so it should be pretty interesting.
The reunion special is set to be released on HBO Max starting November 19, 2020.
