Great News! NFL Star Demario Davis Says 1-Year-Old Daughter Is CANCER FREE!
“We have some great news to report today” is something we haven’t been able to say in a minute, but thankfully we truly do have good news to report today.
New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis revealed earlier this year that his 1-year-old daughter Carly-Faith Davis was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a rare form of eye cancer that mostly affects young children.
A tumor formed behind her left eye which required the eye to be surgically removed.
The good news is that it appears the surgery worked. She received treatments for the disease and was fitted for a custom prosthetic eye. Subsequent tests have shown she is now cancer-free.
Davis told TMZ the following:
I’m a person that just never try to take anything for granted and to know what she’s been through, even to the point of having to lose her eye, but her body is free of cancer.
We’re able to use her story and bring awareness to a lot of families that probably wouldn’t of known about it if it wasn’t for us going through it.
As you can see in the clip below, she appears to be a very happy baby. It’s certainly great news to hear and hopefully she never has to deal with anything like this again.
