Taylor Swift Wins Big At AMAs Once Again, But This Time She Was Missing In Action!
For some reason, networks are still airing award shows. There have been a handful of music awards airing these past few months. It would seem like award shows to honor celebrities carrying already inflated egos would be the first thing we could do without, but apparently not.
The 2020 American Music Awards went down on Sunday, November 22, and Taylor Swift won big once again.
The 30-year-old singer took home the awards for Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Music Video and Artist of the Year, which is the third consecutive year she’s won the top prize of the night.
Unfortunately, she didn’t perform nor attend the event. Instead, she virtually accepted the awards from her recording studio.
She told her fans she couldn’t make it because she’s been busy rerecording her old music…
Thank you so much for this. This is a fan-voted award, which means so much to me. You guys have been beyond wonderful all the years of my career but especially this one when we’ve been so far apart. We haven’t been able to see each other in concert, but I still feel really connected to you through the music, your reaction to Folklore and all the ways in which your imagination honored that album.
I’m actually rerecording all of my old music in the studio where we originally recorded it. It’s been amazing, and I can’t wait for you to hear it.
As most of you know, Swift has been in a battle with Scooter Braun after he purchased her master recordings. She had been trying to get them back from him, but they haven’t figured out a way to communicate like adults, so here we are.
It looks like Swift has found her own solution, and thank the lord for that, because I’m really tired of hearing about this sh*t. People got real problems. We’re supposed to feel bad for her because she’s not in control of her original music? Naaaaah. No thanks.
