Jamie Foxx Gives A Very Special Shoutout To His Younger Sister In Heartfelt Instagram Post

Jamie and DeOndra

He could be tricking us, but Jamie Foxx seems like a really good dude. One of the rare actors in Hollywood who seems just as normal as ever.

And just like most of us, 2020 has been rough for the 52-year-old actor.

Back in October, his sister DeOndra Dixon, died at the young age of 36-years-old. In 2011, Dixon was named a Global Ambassador for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.

According to an autobiography shared to the organization’s website, Dixon participated in the Special Olympics for nearly a decade and had aspirations of becoming a professional dancer.

There’s still no word on how she died, but we know it’s been tough on Foxx and his other sister, Deidra Dixon.

And on Monday, Foxx decided to jump on his Instagram account to give Deidra a special shoutout for holding the family together during these difficult times.

I would like to give a beautiful shout out to this young lady. This is my sister Deidra … over the past few months she has been tested… Emotionally and physically… I have watched her grow from a little girl in the hood to doing hair for the biggest movies on the planet… i’ve also watched her grow as a caretaker for our family… we have been hit with unimaginable hardships during this pandemic.

Deidra is a hairstylist, who has worked on several blockbuster films, like Avengers: Endgame and Da 5 Bloods.

The pain has been excruciating for all of us. But she has held us together with her love and her wisdom… When I say I love her to the moon and back it’s not enough… please send her energy please send her good vibes… Tears in my eyes right now… @frequency11 is her IG if you would like to give her a shout #sister And she is beautiful in this picture by the way.

Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, commented on the post by writing, “The best auntie in the world.”

That’s super sweet stuff coming out of the Foxx family. Nice to see he is still close to his family. That’s probably why he’s still so grounded. He’s got a strong support team behind him that doesn’t allow him to act like an egotistical douche.
