‘Friday’ Star Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister Dies At Age 62, Was Experiencing COVID-19 Symptoms
Some incredibly sad news to report today. Actor/wrestler Tommy Lister Jr., also known as Tiny, was found dead inside his home on Thursday, December 10.
According to reports, his friends and business associates became worried Thursday because they hadn’t heard from him since Wednesday night.
Deputies performed a welfare check and discovered his body inside the home. He had apparently been dead for several hours because there was no attempt to revive him.
According to Tommy’s manager, Cindy Cowan, the 62-year-old actor had been experiencing COVID-19 symptoms for the past week.
She says he was supposed to work on a movie set last weekend but had to cancel due to his breathing difficulties, and he also canceled a Zoom appearance for a TV festival Wednesday. That night is when Cowan says friends and family tried to call and check on him, but their calls went on answered.
She says that whatever the illness was, it got bad really quickly. He wasn’t feeling well all week, but it didn’t get really bad until the end. He reportedly couldn’t breathe well and was extremely weak.
She said her assistant went to Lister’s house that day (Wednesday) with some vitamins and antibiotics to check in. Concerned family members also started calling him Wednesday night.
Sad, sad, stuff. We don’t know for sure if it was COVID. It doesn’t sound like he was tested, but I’m sure they’ll be able to determine if he had it during the autopsy.
Either way, it’s depressing to know he just died by himself inside his home, struggling to breathe. 2020 f**king sucks.
