Police Investigating Elevator Video Showing Quavo and Saweetie Getting Physical

As some of you may know, Saweetie publicly ended things with Quavo and basically accused him of cheating and repoing a car he gave to her as a gift. He denied those rumors, but it looks like that’s the least of their troubles.

Surveillance footage was recently released showing the former couple getting physical with each other on an elevator. The conflict went down at an apartment building in North Hollywood last year.

It shows both of them standing outside an open elevator, and when the video starts Saweetie is swinging on Quavo. Quavo dodges the hit, dropping an orange Call of Duty case in the process … which Saweetie tries to pick up. Quavo grabs it, and as they struggle for the case, he grabs her arm and swings her into the back elevator wall, then they both go down.

As Saweetie lay on the ground — possibly injured — Quavo stands there without helping her up. Eventually, the elevator opens with a guy standing outside … but he doesn’t get on and the door shuts again.

It’s worth noting, this moment looks super awkward. There’s no sound, but geez…can you imagine? The elevator doors open and you see this woman just on the floor crying. Ain’t no way I’m jumping on that ride either. I’ll catch the next one.

The elevator stops on the next floor, and that’s when Quavo gets off. Saweetie was slow to get to her feet, but eventually she can be seen limping out of the elevator behind Quavo.

Law enforcement sources tell us LAPD detectives have seen the video, obtained by TMZ, showing the now ex-couple fighting over a video game console box, and cops want to meet with both parties, separately, to discuss what went down.

Our sources say the situation could be considered an instance of domestic violence, where both parties are in the wrong. Cops want to determine what happened before and after the elevator surveillance footage was captured.

Neither Quavo nor Saweetie has addressed the video publicly, and if cops are indeed getting involved, they probably won’t. I’m sure their lawyers are telling them to keep quiet.
