Speed Was The Cause Of Tiger Woods Crash, Was Going 83 MPH In 45 MPH Zone!
A few days ago, Sheriff Alex Villanueva announced they would not be releasing information from their investigation into Tiger Woods’ February 23rd car crash.
Why? Well, because of vague privacy concerns.
A cause has been determined. The investigation has concluded. It’s completed, signed, sealed and delivered. However, we can’t release it without the permission of the people involved in the collision.
It feels like they’ve released information before without getting permission, but whatever. It’s a moot point because Woods waived his right to privacy and authorized the release of the accident report to the public.
Why did he do this? Probably to avoid any speculation. If he had not released the report, then people would believe he was trying to hide something. It’s that simple.
And while the police aren’t set to release the full investigation until later today, sources have already leaked that speed was the sole cause of the crash.
The LA County Sheriff’s Office is expected to announce Wednesday that Tiger Woods was driving at 83 mph in a 45 mph zone at the time of his horrific crash — but that he will not face any charges or citations, according to a report.
TMZ also reported it was told that Woods actually accelerated at the time of the wreck — and that just as he lost control, the vehicle gained speed.
What caused the acceleration? At this time, we don’t know. The Sheriff’s Dept. did not get a warrant to check Tiger’s phone to determine if he was using it before the crash occured.
So we don’t know if he was on his phone, but we do know he was going over 80 in a 45 MPH zone. Sources say that Tiger can’t remember much from the accident because he hit his head three or four times before the car stopped rolling.
The good news is that Tiger survived and no one else got hurt. Had he crashed into another vehicle, this investigation may have looked a little different.
Tiger continues to recover in Florida. As you probably remember, he suffered major damage to his right leg and had multiple surgeries to repair it.
