Wow! Former ‘Bachelor’ Colton Underwood Comes Out As Gay…WHAT?
In a pretty shocking twist of events, ‘Bachelor’ star Colton Underwood has revealed he’s been going undercover as a straight man.
The 29-year-old reality star sat down with Robin Roberts on ‘Good Morning America‘ to talk about how his sexuality. He revealed during the interview that he is gay. It’s something he didn’t even allow himself to fully realize until a couple months ago.
I’ve ran from myself for a long time. I’ve hated myself for a long time … and I’m gay. And I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it. And the next step in all of this was sort of letting people know.
I got into a place for me in my personal life that was dark and bad and I can list a bunch of different things but they’d all be excuses … I would have rather died than say I’m gay and I think that was sort of my wake-up call.
He said there was one night in Los Angeles where he didn’t expect to wake up in the morning, and when he did, he knew he needed to change things.
He also apologized to his ex-girlfriend Cassie Randolph, who he met on the dating show. They were together for nearly two years before breaking up in 2020. Some of you may remember that Cassie actually filed a restraining order against Underwood last year.

Underwood was reportedly sending her constant texts after their breakup and even showing up randomly outside her parents house, which makes this situation even more bizarre. Although, Underwood claims he truly did love Cassie, so that made things more complicated.
As some of you know, Underwood’s virginity was a big storyline for the show. He was branded as the “Virgin Bachelor”
He released a memoir back in March of 2020, and in the book, he talked about how he was bullied and called gay back in high school for being a virgin, which made him question if he truly was gay.
In the book, released in March 2020, the Indiana native shared that rumors he was gay spread around his high school and eventually got back to his parents. His father then found gay porn sites on his computer’s search results, as well as questions like, ‘Am I gay?,’ ‘How do you know if you’re gay?’ and ‘Why don’t I like having sex with my girlfriend?’
It sounds like he knew it for a long time, but just couldn’t admit it. Maybe it was because of the bullying, maybe he was afraid of how his family would react…or maybe because of 1,000 different reasons. Who knows.
But he’s free now, and we certainly won’t hate on that. Live your life, man. Don’t wait any longer.
