7 Bizarre Facts That Could Change Your Perception Of These Famous People

sim

We have all had that one friend. You know them for several years, let them sleep at your house, watch their dogs when they’re on vacation, etc. This friend is basically family. You feel like you know every single thing about them, but then they get insanely drunk one night and tell you that their father was an assassin who tried to take credit for killing John F. Kennedy.

That might be an extreme example, but it’s simply real life for one of the celebrities in the list below.

No. 7 – Christopher Walken The Lion Tamer?

Before becoming one of Hollywood’s most recognizable actors, Christopher Walken landed a job at a small circus. He was 16-years-old and saw the job listing on a trade paper. The reports you might have heard floating around the internet often make his role sound more serious/dangerous than it really was.

He explained his position during an interview with Indiewire…

“The real lion tamer who owned the small circus, the gag was that he had a son, which he didn’t. But I had an identical outfit, and he would do this big act with a dozen big cats. And then he would send them all out at the end and just leave this one old girl, and I would come in with my whip and I’d go like that and she’d sit up. But she was really more like a dog. [laughs] It wasn’t really lion taming. She was very sweet.

But still, he should own that sh-t. Can you imagine how many matches you’d get on Tinder if your occupation said lion tamer? You’d have so many girls dropping this line, “You think you can tame this pu–y?”

No. 6 – Ryan Gosling And Justin Timberlake Were Brothers

Two of the biggest stars in Hollywood today were technically brothers for a year. They developed a close friendship when they were kids during their time together in the Mickey Mouse Club. And as most Ryan Gosling stalkers fans should know, the actor was born in Canada. One year, when Ryan’s family was struggling, his mother had to travel back to Canada.

That’s when Timberlake’s mother offered to be his legal guardian for a year. Gosling and Timberlake were legit bros, living together, stealing golf carts and trying to flirt with Britney Spears.

Sadly, they are no longer close. In an interview back in 2013, Gosling had this to say when he was asked if he still talked to Timberlake, “Not really. I see him around, but it’s like anything where you’re friends with somebody in elementary school or something. How many friends do you still have from elementary school?”

No. 5 – Elvis Presley’s Natural Hair Color…

Some of you probably know this, but Elvis Presley’s original hair color was actually dirty blonde. As he got older, it transitioned into a light brown color, and then the King decided to dye it black because he wanted an ‘edgier’ look to him.

And according to this article, Elvis admitted to dying his hair with black shoe polish before he was able to hire professionals to do the dirty work for him.

No. 4 – Nicolas Cage Had An Octopus That Helped Him With His Acting

Ah. The legendary Nicolas Cage. He just might be the greatest actor in history, but how did he achieve such greatness? Where did he learn those magnificent acting skills? From an octopus, of course. Back when Cage was buying expensive sh-t faster than you could scream, “NOT THE BEES!” he allegedly spent over $250,000 on two king cobras and an octopus.

When he was asked why he purchased the octopus, he reportedly told people it helped him with his acting. So all you young actors in Hollywood, save up some money to buy an octopus.

No. 3 – Kesha Is Smarter Than You

Kesha may have removed the dollar sign from her name, but she still has plenty of cash, all thanks to her catchy (but slightly terrible) pop songs. Most people assume she’s simpleminded because of the way she acts on stage and the meaningless lyrics in most of her songs.

But that person you see on stage isn’t the real Kesha. It’s a character she plays to earn millions of dollars. The real Kesha has an IQ of 140 and scored near-perfect SAT scores. According to Entertainment Weekly, the 28-year-old singer was offered a scholarship to Columbia-affiliated Barnard College to study psychology.  Of course, she didn’t take it and instead went to chase her pop star dreams.

If life is all about money, I’d say she definitely made the right decision.

No. 2 – Simon Cowell’s Connection To ‘The Shining’

Simon Cowell is now one of the biggest names in the music industry, but before the chest hair and fame, he was just a regular dude looking for a job to pay the bills. And according to Cowell’s half brother, Tony, he worked briefly as a runner on The Shining.

Tony told BBC 3 the following…

“I well remember him saying he used to clean Jack Nicholson’s axe in between takes for the most famous scenes. He took great pride in it, you could see your face in it, it was so shiny.”

Sounds like Simon has always enjoyed traumatizing people.

No. 1 – Woody Harrelson’s Father Was A Hitman

Woody Harrelson is a beloved actor in Hollywood. It’s hard not to like the 54-year-old Texan. But his father, Charles Harrelson, wasn’t as charming and likable. He was convicted of assassinating federal judge John H. Wood, Jr. According to the reports, he was hired by drug dealer Jamiel Chagra to kill the judge, who was notorious for giving long sentences for drug offenses.

Before killing Wood, Harrelson was tried for another murder-for-hire killing in 1968. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison, but was released just 5 years later for good behavior. In 1980, Harrelson was forced to surrender to police after a six-hour standoff. He was allegedly high on cocaine during the standoff and told police that he was also responsible for the death of John F. Kennedy.

During an interview from jail after his arrest, he admitted he was just making sh-t up at that point, “At the same time I said I had killed the judge, I said I had killed Kennedy, which might give you an idea to the state of my mind at the time.”

As for Woody? Well, he’s not a fan of killing anything.
