Blake Shelton get’s his Tweets Twisted and Apologizes!

I have just recently become a Blake Shelton fan after watching the first two episodes of “The Voice”.  He’s got a stoic nature and a witty dry sense of humor….now both of those are getting him into hot water!!  And of course the medium is….Twitter!

SO WHAT DID BLAKE SHELTON TWEET?

The song writer got himself in trouble when he thought it would be funny to re-write some lyrics to what he calls is his favorite Shania Twain song.  He tweeted:

‘Re-writing my fav Shania Twain song.. Any man that tries Touching my behind He’s gonna be a beaten, bleedin’, heaving kind of guy…’

The original lyrics are: ‘Any man of mine better walk the line – Better show me a teasin’ squeezin’ pleasin’ kinda time.’

Blake Shelton is a good looking guy so I’m sure there is a certain percentage of his 300 thousand plus twitter followers that are, as Wendy Williams like’s to say, “How you doin” and they didn’t waste any time getting GLAAD (The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) involved.

Immediately these guys get into a “tizzy” and demand for Blake to apologize, so Shelton apologized with what I thought was one of the best apologies I’ve read in a long time.  Basically telling them to relax and get a life.  He tweeted,

‘Hey y’all allow me to seriously apologize for the misunderstanding with the whole re-write on the Shania song last night.

‘It honestly wasn’t even meant that way… I now know that their [sic] are people out there waiting to jump at everything I say on here or anywhere.’

…..’But when it comes to gay/lesbian rights or just feelings… I love everybody. So go look for a real villain and leave me out of it!!!’

Weather or not Blake’s perspective is true it makes sense and brings to light how sensitive these GLAAD people really are. No pun intended.

GLAAD has since accepted his apology.  At first you might think, who cares but Blake is smart enough to know, Gay people download itunes too!
