Macklemore Hurt Drake’s Feelings By Not Sending Him The Same Text Message He Sent Kendrick Lamar After Grammys

We can add Macklemore to the long list of people who have hurt Drake’s feelings. Drake spoke with Rolling Stone recently and admitted that he thought Macklemore’s apologetic text to Kendrick Lamar was, “Wack as F–k!” That’s a direct quote, by the way.

For those of you that haven’t heard the story. Macklemore won Best Rap Album at the 2014 Grammys, but he didn’t feel like he deserved to win it. He (and most everyone else) agreed that Kendrick Lamar was robbed. Well, Macklemore and Lamar are pretty good friends, so Macklemore sent Lamar the text you see down below.

As you can see, he was basically apologizing for winning the award. So, why is Drake mad about this? Well, he feels that Macklemore should have sent him a text, as well.

“To name just Kendrick? That s–t made me feel funny. No, in that case, you robbed everybody. We all need text messages!”

Calm down, Drake. We don’t want you falling out of your wheelchair. It’s pretty obvious who had the best rap album, and it certainly wasn’t you. You weren’t robbed of anything, so settle your a** down.

Now, to be fair, Drake did say a few things in the interview that made a lot of sense. He told Rolling Stone that Macklemore shouldn’t have even apologized to Kendrick,

“I was like, ‘You won. Why are you posting your text message? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn’t deserve it, go get better — make better music.’ It felt cheap. It didn’t feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt? You think those guys would pay homage to you if they won?”

Wheelchair boy makes a good point. It was strange to see him basically admitting that his music wasn’t good enough to win. At the end of the day, he won the award, and he shouldn’t feel the need to apologize for it.
