Idol Producer Wants Nicki Minaj to Stay!

How have you been enjoying Idol this season? How do you feel about Nicki Minaj as a judge? Well, Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe feels like Nicki is doing a great job. He was recently asked by a photographer if the controversial judge was welcomed back next year, “By me, she certainly will be!” Nigel replied. Clearly, he understands that Nicki is really the only entertaining thing about the show this year. None of the contestants have any personalities, so it’s nice when Nicki Minaj runs her big mouth.

Recently, she received criticism for being so harsh on a group performance by, Burnell Taylor, Lazaro Arbos and Devin Velez. The group performed their song horribly and Nicki Minaj didn’t hold back her feelings on how she felt about the performance. Nicki said before demanding them to leave the stage,

“I’m gonna act like I didn’t see that or hear that.”

One of the contestants, Devin Velez didn’t take kindly to the criticism. After being eliminated from the show last week, Devin snapped back at Nicki Minaj during a conference call with reporters. He said,

“When she went crazy — when she was like ‘get off the stage, blah blah blah’ and it’s just like ‘whoa Miss Minaj, I need you to calm down please.‘ She could have been upset because the night before she was wearing the same colored dress as Mariah, or that she was on time. Who knows.”

And now Nicki Minaj is responding to his hissy fit, “Lol. Be mad @AMERICA when u get sent home. The JUDGES are the ones who FOUGHT for American to get the opp to vote for you #memba?” she wrote on her Twitter account, failing to mention the fact that the caps lock button on her smart phone must be broken.
