The Voice Season 2 – Epic Battle Between Anthony Evans & Jesse Campbell [video]

This is why “The Voice” is doing so well in the ratings.  It’s just different.  Just when you are tired of ‘Idol’ you tune in to this show and it’s definitely a break from the norm.  After the blind auditions (when the judges choose to turn their chair around after they can only hear the contestants without seeing them) they move to the “Battle Rounds”.

The battle round is when 2 contestants from the same team have to face off by singing a duet.  While harmonizing they are also competing.  It’s about stage presence, voice control, voice power, belting out riffs, and pure swag.  After the battle, the team captain must pick who stays and who goes home.  This is particularly hard because the captain that sends you home, is the same captain that convinced you to choose their team.
