LL Cool J’s Burglar Could Get Life in Prison!
The man that LL Cool J “threw a beatin” to last week could face life in prison.
Jonathan A. Kirby broke into LL Cool J’s house last week and LL personally tuned him up. LL found Kirby in his kitchen at 1 AM in the morning. When Cool J was done with Kirby, he had a broken nose, broken jaw and ribs. Kirby was then held until police arrived.
We have learned more about Mr. Kirby since then. This break in was not Kirby’s first. He has convictions of manslaughter, burglary and petty theft.
Kirby’s real issues stem from the convictions he has in California. If he is found guilty of this break in, this will be strike three and according to California’s three strike law, he will be looking at 38 years in prison.
This actually might not be bad a bad option for Kirby as the 56 year old was thought to be homeless. Three hots and a cot sounds like an upgrade from living on the streets of L.A.
As of now Kirby has plead not guilty. A new hearing was set for Sept. 10 in Los Angeles to decide if enough evidence exists for him to stand trial.
