Sasquatch Hoax Ends In Mans Untimely Death.
I’m not sure if this post should be written sarcastically or seriously as a tragedy. I will try and keep this serious as a man actually lost his life…although it was doing something incredibly stupid.
Randy Lee Tenley met his untimely demise being hit by two teenaged drivers. This is what happens when bad luck meets stupidity.
According to his friends, Randy Lee wanted to get people talking about Big foot. He wanted people in Northwest Montana to think that Bigfoot was alive and well and start calling in Bigfoot sightings to the local authorities. According to State Trooper Jim Schneider,
‘He was trying to make people think he was so people would call in a Sasquatch sighting.’
Randy purchased a “ghillie” suit and put it on, and stood in the right hand lane of traffic on US Highway 93. As you can see the Ghillie suit is a military type camouflage suite that makes you look like bushes and trees. It’s worn by snipers so they go undetected during military operations.
Well the suit worked, Tenley went undetected. He was hit once by a 15 year old girl driver. He lay in the road and was then struck again by a 17 year old driver.
If the drivers had been more experienced maybe they would have been able to avoid Tenley but either way it’s obvious that Tenley was difficult to detect.
Alcohol was suspected to play a factor on Tenley’s part. Test results are still being ascertained. Let’s just hope the traumatized teenaged drivers are not emotionally scarred for life.
