What Did Beyonce Get Jay-Z for his Birthday that Cost $4.8 Million? Something Called a Bing Bang?!?

What do you Get the Man who has everything?  Or maybe I should ask what do you get the man who has everything that is married to the woman who has everything?

How about a $4.8 million watch?   The Daily Star is reporting that Beyoncé got Jay Z a Hublot!! The watch is appropriately called the Big Bang.  (That’s what Jay gave “B” after he got the gift).

So why does the watch cost $5 Million?

A quick look and you can tell that the price would be something staggering.  The gold case has 302 baguette diamonds.  It’s 18 Karat white gold dial holds another 179 baguettes and the wrist band holds another 782 with six 3 karat emerald cuts.  The entire watch has 1,282 diamonds all of grade A VVS clarity.  And for those who have shopped for wedding rings,  you know a small 1 karat VVS will set a brotha back $10Gs.

Each diamond has been selected to fit the watch.  It took over a year for Hublot to find the stones alone and another 14 months to construct the watch itself.  As part of that 14 months, 12 cutters and 5 setters worked on the project full time for seven months.

Right not it’s still a strong rumor that Jay Z has the watch but a source told the Daily Star,

“Beyonce will always buy Jay the best gifts money can buy. Money is no object to her. She knew he would love the Hublot Big Bang watch. It’s the ultimate timepiece, a mixture of extravagance, luxury and bling. Jay-Z is a huge watch collector and was very excited when he was given the gift. He can’t wait to start flashing it around. It is absolutely stunning. In Beyonce’s defence, what do you buy the man who already has everything?”

I have to admit, $5 Million on a watch is a little much even if you are worth $300 Million.  Then again, not so much when your hubby is worth $475 milllion.  Ok…take the watch dammit. Happy Birthday Hov.
