Angie Everhart Diagnosed with Cancer

The beautiful actress and model Angie Everhart has sadly been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Angie is just 43-years-old and will have to have surgery today to treat the condition.  A rep for the actress said in a statement yesterday,

“Word has been trickling out about supermodel/actress Angie Everhart’s health. She wants to set the record straight by letting everyone know that it is true that she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, however, the prognosis is very good.”

The surgery will take place today, but Angie is expected to be back to normal in as soon as a few weeks. Her rep said that she expects to be back on “mommy duties” in just a few weeks. She’ll have her hands full whenever she does return to her duties, she is a single mom to a 3-year-old boy. I remember my mom telling me stories about how much she wanted to kill me when I was 3, so I can only imagine how tough it’ll be for Angie after surgery.

“The most important reason she is revealing this information is to encourage people to learn about cancer prevention, its signs and treatment immediately. (Angie) wants to thank everyone who has heard about it and expressed their support.” the rep added.

Well, geez! Two cancer stories in one day, that’s certainly not a good start to the day. However, it appears that Angie will be just fine, so at least this story is expected to have a happy ending!
