Drake Bell Says Amanda Bynes is “Brilliant”

Crazy, weird, strange, insane, neurotic and obnoxious are just a few of the words one might use to describe Amanda Bynes. The word “brilliant” is not a word that would come to mind when describing the retired actress. However, Drake Bell used that very word to describe his longtime friend, Amanda Bynes. The former co-stars apparently have a strong bond together and their friendship has lasted long after their careers have.

Drake still talks to Amanda almost everyday and he talked with OK! Magazine recently about Amanda’s odd behavior,

“Amanda and I are close…We worked together for years. I talk to her every day. She’s a sweetheart. I had lunch with her yesterday, and she’s brilliant. She’s good, and she’s healthy.” the 26-year-old said. The magazine questioned him even more, though. What about all of her strange behavior? And the crazy wigs? Well, Drake says that it’s all just from a bad haircut…

“It hurts me and it upsets me, because I look at her and talk to her, and we’ll sit down for lunch or dinner, and I’m like, ‘Amanda, what is going on?’ And she’s like, ‘whatever.’ She’s the same beautiful, funny artistic, thoughtful person that she’s always been, but she decided to change her hairstyle. She got a bad hairdo and shaved her head, so she had to get extensions. Now everyone’s like ‘oh, you’re crazy.’ I’m like, ‘dude, you come off crazy.’ She’s like, ‘I know, but I don’t mean to. I just changed the way I look!’”

You see, this is why I think this whole thing is fake. It seems like he’s trying to give us hints, “She’s funny…artistic.” The keyword there being artistic. She’s going to pass this whole thing off as some spiritual journey. She’s probably secretly documenting the whole thing and will make some big comeback. It’s clear that Bell wants her to make a comeback, he told the magazine the following…

“She needs to get out of retirement, and make us laugh again, because that’s what she’s brilliant at. Amanda Bynes is brilliant at making us laugh, and that’s what she needs to do. She’s great at it.”

We get it, man! She’s hilarious and brilliant! It’s like he’s trying to convince himself that he actually believes in what he is saying. I think “brilliant” might be a bit of a stretch, but I do think she is pretty hilarious and I’m not just saying that because of the hideous wigs. She was actually funny when she was younger, I was a big fan of hers. Maybe that is part of the reason I hope she is just faking this whole thing.
