Beyonce’s “Risky” Album Move Pays Off, Shatters iTunes Record
We informed you all last week that Beyonce put out a self-titled album on iTunes while you were sleeping. 14 songs and 17 videos come on the album and people all over the world are buying it.
Without even promoting the album before releasing it, Beyonce has managed to smash the iTunes record for fastest-selling album in the history of iTunes.
More than 820,000 copies of the album were sold in just its first three days of being released! That easily makes it the fastest-selling album in iTunes history, and it is well on its way to passing Taylor Swift’s “Red” album, which sold 1.2 million back in November.
[more…]Another amazing fact? The album is number one in over 100 countries. These are incredible figures when you consider the fact that no one even knew she was making another album.

I like it and Beyonce looks pretty damn good in it. I think it’s safe to say that keeping her album a secret until its release was a very wise decision. There is no way the album would have sold as many copies if she hadn’t pulled this latest stunt.
That’s not me hating on Beyonce, it’s just the truth. I actually give her a lot of credit for finding a new way to get people excited about buying an album again.
