Adam Carolla Loses Everybody After Claiming No One Would Listen To AOC If She Were Fat And Old
Some of you might not know who Adam Carolla is. After all, it’s been a decade or so since he was truly relevant. Back in the late ’90s and early 2000s, he hosted an extremely popular radio show, Loveline, with Dr. Drew.
And I’ll admit, I was a fan of the show. Even now, you can go back and listen to old tapes and there’s some truly hilarious episodes.
But in the years since, Carolla has transformed into an angry, old white man, which is pretty much the worst kind of man there is. He was on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show this past week, and he decided to talk about New York City Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, because conservatives just can’t stop talking about her.
He pondered if AOC were old and fat, would anyone listen to her?
Here’s a quick thought experiment: If AOC was fat and in her 60s, would anyone listen to another thing she ever said? [Her] opinions are idiotic 95 percent of the time. I don’t think, if she was a middle-aged, heavyset woman, anyone would care what she had to say.
This is classic white male sh*t right here. He’s basically saying that the amount of success she has earned throughout her career is directly linked to her appearance. It can’t possibly be that she’s intelligent, or has ideas that resonate with millions of people. It can’t be because she represents strength and power for women across the country who feel like they don’t have any power.
IT’S SIMPLY BECAUSE SHE’S YOUNG AND ATTRACTIVE!
It’s a really gross and dumb thing to say. In fact, it was so dumb and gross that even Hannity couldn’t get behind it…
I’m not so sure I agree. Now, I will say this: You can criticize her ideas — and I do, I think the Green New Deal is madness and insanity — but she’s got the whole Democratic Party following her.
