Kanye West Fires Third Divorce Lawyer Just One Day Before Important Court Hearing

Kanye West is taking a page out of his hero’s (Donald Trump) book and firing everybody that was once close to him. Just one day before a huge divorce hearing, West fired his third divorce lawyer.

Attorney Christopher Charles Melcher has confirmed to the media that he’s no longer representing the 44-year-old billionaire. Instead, West hired Samatha Spector, the attorney who worked for Nicole Young in her divorce from Dr. Dre.

To make this situation even juicer, Kim Kardashian is being represented by Dre’s former lawyer, Laura Wasser. So basically it’s just Spector and Wasser battling it out in court every few months. I think we need a tv show out of this.

The reasons for the shakeup are unclear, but the news Tuesday (Mar. 1) came just a day before a judge was set to hear arguments Wednesday (Mar. 2) from Kim and Kanye’s attorneys over her move to split her divorce from West into two parts – a procedure that will immediately end their marriage while punting more complex questions about assets and custody to future proceedings.

Of course, Kanye has been fighting against this. He does not want their marriage to end, and has been doing everything in his power to prevent her from being “legally” single.

Which is honestly super silly considering it doesn’t matter if a piece of paper says you are ~technically~ still married. Kim has obviously divorced Kanye in her heart and has since moved on with Pete Davidson. It’s time for Kanye to do the same.

The hearing on Wednesday (March 2) is expected to begin at around 8:30 in the morning. We’re sure there will be some sort of update later in the day.

And if it doesn’t go well for Kanye, expect some major ranting on his Instagram account.
