Maya Hawke Says She Told Dad Ethan Hawke She Was Going To Therapy, But Really She Was Losing Her Virginity

Maya Hawke is the daughter of superstar actor Ethan Hawke. She’s a rising star, after jumping to fame in the hit series, Stranger Things.

This means she’s getting invited on more and more talk shows, and when you’re invited to talk… sometimes confessions come out.

During an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the 24-year-old star admitted her father was “very, very, very upset with her” after she lied about going to therapy to go have sex for the first time.

She said she told her father she was going to therapy, but really she was off losing her virginity, and when she came home, he could tell she had been lying.

I can’t believe I just said that, but that’s the truth. He gave me a real hard time. He went, ”Where were you? Where did you go?’

And to prevent him from finding out at the time, Maya hit him back with this incredible line, “How am I supposed to have secrets if I’m not allowed to tell lies?”

This cracked both Cohen and Bryan Cranston up.
