Zendaya Says She Has No Idea If ‘Euphoria’ Will Return For A Season 3
‘Euphoria‘ fans have been waiting patiently for a third season of the hit HBO series. The second season finale aired way back in February of 2022, which means it’s been over two years now.
A lot has happened in those two years, mainly all the Hollywood strikes, which pushed production on the show back. And during this delay, the stars of the show found other work. Zendaya is starring in movie after movie, as well as Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi.
No one really has time in their schedule to fit in this third season now, although to hear Zendaya tell it, she’d be down for creating some space if the opportunity allowed.
At the ‘Challengers‘ premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, the 27-year-old actress admitted she doesn’t know if there will be a third season…
I don’t know if there will be. I’m not in charge. But, of course, if it’s right for the characters and everything turns out the way it should, of course. But it’s beyond me.
It’s worth noting there was some movement on the backend of things. In March, HBO officially announced the postponement of season 3, saying the network along with creator Sam Levinson, “remain committed to making an exceptional third season. In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”
This is bad news for actress Nika King, who plays Zendaya’s mom on the show. You’ll remember last month, she joked that people have come up to her saying they need a season three.
I’m like, bitch, I need season 3. I haven’t paid my rent in six months. And Zendaya’s over in Paris at Fashion Week. I’m like, ‘Bitch, come home! I need you! Mama need you!’
Come on, Zendaya! Pay momma’s rent!
