Heidi Klum is Disappointed With You

Heidi Klum and her family had a pretty wild Easter weekend down in Oahu, Hawaii. Heidi took her family down to Hawaii for a little vacation this past weekend; she armed herself with two nannies and her boyfriend/bodyguard Martin Kristen. Why would Heidi and Martin need two nannies to help with her kids on their “family” vacation? Who knows, but we’re not here to talk about the overuse of nannies in Hollywood. We’re here to talk about how much people in this world suck.

Heidi came kind of close to losing her seven-year-old boy during the vacation. Heidi’s son was knocked down by a strong riptide while he was playing in the sea. Fortunately the little guy is a decent swimmer and was able to keep float long enough for Heidi to come grab him at the shore.  The 39-year-old mother told People magazine,

“We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water. Henry swam out of it. I grabbed him at the shore. The nannies were the ones in much deeper trouble.”

Now, let’s get to the saddest part about this whole story. Heidi admitted to the magazine that she was really disappointed by how some bystanders reacted to the potentially life threatening situation,

“The family was surprised that we were being photographed and no one would come help us.” she claims. Saying that instead of people trying to help, they all just whipped out their cameras and started snapping photos of a seven-year-old boy trying not to drown in the ocean.

Really, America? Is this what we have come to? Where getting the awesome picture or filming something for Youtube is more important than saving a child’s life? It’s one thing when you go to a concert and instead of singing/clapping/dancing along; you just stand there and videotape the whole thing. That’s your choice, if you want to miss out on having fun, then so be it. However, when a little boy is drowning in the ocean or someone is burning alive in a car; put the f**king camera down and go help them!

I can assure you that the picture of you in the newspaper, holding up an award for being an outstanding citizen would be more rewarding than a picture of a little boy dying in the ocean.
