Shakira Fighting $250 Million Lawsuit Against Ex-Boyfriend

Shakira’s ex-boyfriend Antonio de la Rua is suing Shakira for $250 million. Why? Well, because he believes he is responsible for all of her success. However, Shakira says that those claims are ridiculous and she is asking the judge to throw out the ridiculous lawsuit. She claims that she is a self-made woman and that Antonio has no right to any of her fortune. Shakira points out in an affidavit that she was already a well-known artist with a solid international career when she met Antonio at a concert in Argentina back in 2000.

The 36-year-old singer also denies Antonio’s claims that he was her business partner. He was just “one of my numerous advisers” she claims. And get this, she says the only reason she hired him in the first place was because she felt sorry for the dude,

 “Though he lacked experience or knowledge of the music industry, in 2005, at his request, I decided to involve him in some matters relating to the business.”

Noting that he was unemployed at the time. The lawsuit was filed back in September of 2012. He wants 18 percent of the profits from her deal with Live Nation; the contract is believed to be worth over $100 million.

What a douchebag this guy is. Everyone knows why Shakira has been so successful, it’s because she is freaking hot! It’s because her hips don’t lie, and she is starting to feel it’s right! It’s because of her incredibly sexy accent, and that one time where she dry humped a speaker on stage!

He should be ashamed of himself. His claims are obviously ridiculous.
