Expendables 2 Stunt Man Killed While Filiming Scene in Bulgaria

A stuntman was killed….like for real killed during the filming of Expendables 2.  Another stuntman is in critical condition and that’s only after undergoing a five hour operation.

The scene was being shot in Bulgaria.  The incident occurred while filming a stunt with a fake bomb explosion in a rubber boat in the water reservoir.  The deceased stuntman died on the scene while his counterpart was taken to the hospital, unconscious for his injuries.

The production company released a statement,

“It is with great regret that we confirm this unfortunate accident, Our hearts go out to the families and those on the production affected by this tragedy. The filmmakers are working closely with the authorities in responding to and investigating this accident.”

The big stars were not there at the time, they were safely 2.5 hours away in the scenic mountain resort village of Bansko shooting other less dangerous scenes.
