The Man Behind the “Elmo” Sex Scandal is Revealed, Meet Kevin Clash’s Ex-Boy Toy!
The 24 year old aspiring model has revealed himself to be Sheldon Stephens. Stephens made news twice this week, the first time by accusing Kevin Clash and the second time by recanting his accusations that Clash and he were involved in an underage homosexual relationship.
The Smoking Gun – remember that website? – blew the cover off of Stephens revealing a history of trouble and revealing more of the man who almost took down Elmo!
It’s not made clear how Stephens and Clash got to know each other. Stephens is from Harrsburg, PA where he is currently attending Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. He expects to graduate this coming May. He hasn’t had any real jobs however there are several internships linked to him as well as a valet job he had at the Hilton in Harrisburg, and an office assistant position at an American Automobile Association branch.

His criminal past includes a reckless driving violation back in May, passing bad checks and the most egregious offense was a 2009 arrest for robbing his former boss, music manager Darian Pollard for $250,000 worth of jewelry…..at knife point. Stephens was working for Pollard as an intern and reportedly robbed him of a white gold necklace with diamonds and a white gold ring with diamond baguets. The incident allegedly occurred in Beverly Hills, Pollard contacted the Beverly Hills Police Department and said that Stephens had robbed him and left for the East Coast.
Police were waiting for him at the Harrisburg, PA airport where Stepehens was seen exiting the plane with the jewelry on. He insisted that it was a gift. He was arrested for two accounts of receiving stolen property. No knife was found on him, and a few weeks later the charges were dropped.

Stephens mom, Felicia Stephens also has a violent criminal past including attempte
d murder for stabbing her husband with a pair of scissors. She is due back in court next month.
The entire incident is unfortunate for Clash who now appears to be the victim. Not only has his sexuality been made a public matter but his career is now brought into question for doing absolutely nothing wrong except getting involved with the wrong person.
On Stephens Facebook page he wrote,
“I like to consider myself a rare breed. I’m very spontaneous and random…I’m determined and goal oriented, My destiny is laid on a solid gold brick pathway……. MY FUTURE IS BRIGHT and never will it dim.”
That solid gold brick pathway was going to be paid for by Kevin Clash. Good riddens. Lucky for Clash, America loves a comeback story. Even if you haven’t done anything wrong unfortunately sometimes you still have to make a comeback.
