Michelle Duggar Suffers a Miscarriage with her 20th Child
Michelle Duggar, aka “Supermom” aka “Womb All Mighty”, aka “The Fallopian Phenom”, aka “You know that crazy b*tch with 19 kids” received some very sad news today. She was in her second trimester and while going in to determine the sex of her 20th child she learned that she miscarried.
The 45 year old mom Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar are the parents of the TLC reality show “19 Kids and Counting”.
Although I have to say, if you watch the show they really do a great job with all of their children. In fact I think they parent better than most families who only have one or two rug rats.
We have seen the birth of Michelle’s last 5 children and I think I just assumed that this one would be the same. With the complications that she endured with her daughter Josie, who will be 2 today, I’m surprised they decided to try and have another child. She was delivered 15 weeks early because Michelle was suffering from preeclampsia. She was hospitalized in NICU for nearly 5 months in Little Rock, all which was shared by their show on TLC.
Michelle said that her heart broke when she had to tell the children,
“I feel like my heart broke telling my children. They have all been so excited about this baby and looking forward to April coming around and having a new little one in our arms. That was the most difficult. The Lord is the giver of life and he can choose when that life is ready to go on and be with Him.”
They also placed a letter on their website:
Dear Friends,
On behalf of the whole Duggar Family we would like to thank everyone for their prayers, emails and outpouring of love. We discovered during a routine 19-week ultrasound that our 20th child, who was due in April 2012, passed away recently. As our whole family is grieving, we also know that God promises to work all things for good in our lives. We rest in knowing, that even though our child has departed this life that we will one day see each other again in heaven. Our prayer is that baby Duggar’s passing will help us all realize that this life is short, and our relationship with Jesus is the most important thing. He gives us a peace in our hearts as He guides us through whatever we might face.
We love you,
Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar & Family
