John Legend Will Replace Lionel Richie on ABC’s Newest Singing Show, Duets.!

No sooner did I see the trailer for the new show Duets featuring Lionel Richie’s face do I learn that he has been replaced!!  HELLO…..is it me you’re looking for……

Well you can stop looking; he has been replaced by John Legend.  The only information I could get from Lionel Richie’s switcheroo was that it was due to personal scheduling conflicts.  Normally I wouldn’t buy an excuse like that but these singing competition shows when you are mentoring and in the case of Duets you are performing are extremely time consuming and emotionally draining.  The schedules are brutal.  However, if the show is a hit the panels get paid very well.  This fact is not overlooked by John Legend.  He was super-excited to be part of the show.  He said

I’m thrilled to be part of Duets and I’m looking forward to finding an undiscovered gem out there. This is going be a lot of fun,

John Legend will now join the other super star mentors, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Nettles and Robin Thicke.
