Kanye West’s Lawyers Attempt to Stop Any Use of the Sex Tape on the Internet
If you were thinking about using screen grabs of Kanye’s sex tapes on your website, facebook, tumbr or blogs think again. Ye has his lawyers busy earning their pay checks. They have issued a strong warning to anyone who publishes images or video from the alleged two sex tapes that are floating around the internet. The reason being, they are stolen.
The footage was stolen from Kanye’s computer and anyone posting images or video clips will face some serious legal repercussions. One of his attorney’s Lisa M. Buckley released a nice little warning letter. The contents are below,
“Be advised that the Screen Shot, as well as the Tape from which the Screen Shot was taken, were illegally obtained and believed to have been stolen from Mr. West’s computer.
“You’re posting, advertising, marketing, displaying and otherwise disseminating the stolen Screen Shot and/or other materials on the Tape constitute actionable violations of Mr. West’s rights of privacy and publicity.”
The tape is allegedly being auctioned off for $2 Million dollars. So far the highest bidder has been made by sex.com of $1 million.
Steve Hirsh from Vivid Video, the man behind the release of the now infamous Kim Kardashian tape, says that the value of the tape could easily exceed $2million or more depending on the quality and a few other factors. Hirsh advises,
“It depends on the quality of the tape, the length, the lighting, the sex.
“But something like this could go for a couple of million dollars. I don’t think there has ever been a sex tape with a star of this magnitude. [Motley Crue drummer and ex-husband of Pamela Anderson] Tommy Lee was big, but this is a different world and Kanye is a special guy. He’s everywhere.”
Reports say that one of the participants actually looks like Kim Kardashian. The video is reportedly 20 minutes long and features the woman stating she’s over 18 years old. The woman is also heard stating,
“My husband and I don’t have sex anymore… that’s why I’m here!”
In this day and age, it’s hard to take on the internet and stop racy photos, but if anyone is up to the challenge it’s Kanye. Regardless if his lawyers are bluffing or not, notice we do not have any “Screen Shots” on TVST – no need to put our hard work at risk, however no one said that we couldn’t show a video clip, of the screen shot right?
