Jay-Z Hooks His Neighbors Up with Electricity Before Hitting Ohio for Obama Rally
Jay-Z has had a busy week. After being spotted at a game with his “B”, and putting work in last night at an Obama Rally with Bruce Springsteen we found out that he looked out for his neighbors before he left.
Despite moving his bride and baby to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel (Rooms go for $895/ night), he popped the cash for a generator to power up his entire building at 195 Hudson St.
When you think of NY, buildings and penthouses a high rise comes to mind. Jay-Z and Beyonce’s building is only seven floors with 28 units including the penthouse that Jay brought back in 2004 for about $7 Million. According to the NY Post, Jay Z put up the money for a generator to power up the building when they lost power during Hurricane Sandy.
He’s got 99 Problems but electricity and Mitt ain’t one.
