Robert De Niro Confronts Jay-Z, Tells the Rapper “You Think You the Man, You are Disrespectful”!

The big buzz is that Robert De Niro had beef with Jigga-Man and wasn’t afraid to let the beef cook!

It all went down at Leonardo DiCaprio’s birthday party last Saturday at The Darby, in New York.  It was a star studded affair that raised charity for the Red Cross which brought in huge donations along with some big name celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Johan Hill, Edward Norton, and Jamie Foxx and of course he one and only Robert De Niro.

De Niro and Jay-Z are neighbors, they both live in Tribecca.  When Jay-Z arrived with Beyonce he went over to Robert De Niro’s table to say hi and was confronted by an angry De Niro.  Apparently there were some phone calls of De Niro’s that Jay-Z never returned.  He wanted Jay-Z to record a song for the Tribeca Film Festival and Jay-Z never returned his call.

Jay-Z was called out by the actor in front of everyone including the likes of Martin Scorsese.

The NY Post reports that De Niro said,

that if somebody calls you six times, you call them back. It doesn’t matter who you are, that is just rude.

When the beautiful Beyonce appeared by Jay-Z’s side, trying to calm matters, that did nothing to settle De Niro down.  Jay-Z tried to use his charm and swag on De Niro, joking and saying how bad he was with returning phone calls but it was useless.  De Niro had his Swag guard up and continued to let Jay-Z have it.

He kept telling Jay-Z that he thinks he’s the man, but that he was disrespectful.

There are several reports stating that the confrontation was the talk of the party, however there are also sources that told he NY Post,

“It was a low-key private conversation between two people that was apparently overheard. It was not a heated discussion.”

Since there are sources spinning the story both ways that tells you that it at least definitely happened.  If Jay-Z is the man, business man, and gentlemen that I think he is, he will be sending a bottle of champagne, or a box of cigars over to De Niro and scheduling a sit down with the actor.  Jay-Z had been face with much scarier beef.  Remember, De Niro plays a gangster, in real life he’s just an actor.
