So there is life after a meltdown, even a racist one. Kramer is back. The 63 year old Michael Richards who disappeared after the 2006 incident in which he had is infamous racist melt down during a performance at the Laugh Factory in LA. In case you don’t remember, let me refresh your memory. During his set, he was being heckled by some audience members at which point he completely lost it. No longer joking, he says,
“Fifty years ago, we’d have you upside down with a f–king fork up your ass,
“You can talk, you can talk, you’re brave now, motherf–ker Throw his ass out. He’s a n—-r! He’s a n—-r!”
Fast forward 6 years from the incident and 13 years since Seinfeld, which earned him 3 Emmys, and we prove that America loves a comeback story.
In a trifecta of “has beens”, including Kirstie Alley and Rhea Perlman, Richards will make his way back to TV. Although it’s not a major network, it’s still work. The show entitled “Giant Baby” will be launched on TV Land. The show will be centered around Alley’s character named Maddie Banks who is a Broadway star. Richards is her limo driver and Reah Perlman is her best friend.
TV Land has seen a moderate level of success with their scripted series which include Hot in Cleveland, which enters its third season and new show “Happily Divorce” with Fran Drescher. The pilot to “Giant Baby” is currently being filmed.
