Demi Lovato Returning to the X Factor

It’s Friday, which means you’re probably feeling good. You’re ready for the weekend and ready to forget about all your troubles, right? Well, let me damper your mood a little bit with some horrible news. Demi Lovato will be returning as a judge on the next season of the X Factor. Simon Cowell confirmed the horrible news yesterday with a press release. Simon said in the release,

“I couldn’t be happier that Demi wants to come back this year. She’s a superstar in her own right and was a fantastic mentor last year. Even though she can be really, really annoying — I truly enjoyed working with her and so did the artists. I’m especially pleased she’s back, even during her world tour!”

At least he did touch on the fact that she can be really annoying. Granted, it was her first season as a judge, so maybe she will be better in her second season. Demi will be the only judge aside from Simon Cowell that will be returning for the new season. L.A. Reid and Britney Spears have already announced that they will not be returning, and Khole Kardashian will not be returning as a co-host. So, it’s safe to say that the show will look very different this year, but Demi is excited to be returning. Demi said,

“Last season was an unbelievable experience and I really enjoyed developing personal relationships with the contestants and the panel. I look forward to taking my previous experience and applying it to make this season even better!”

I like her optimism, but I won’t be holding my breath.
