Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard Welcome A Baby Girl – With a Unique Name

The hilarious couple, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have reason to celebrate this weekend. Kristen gave birth to their first child yesterday and the couple could not be more excited. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl and they gave her a very interesting name, “Lincoln Bell Shepard” which is traditionally a boy’s name, but it’s Hollywood and people like to be different. At least it’s better than, “Apple” or “Jermajesty.”

Dax revealed the name on his Twitter account, he also had to throw in a little joke, “She has her mom’s beauty and her dad’s obsession with breasts. Hooray!” he wrote on his Twitter page. Kristen Bell was also in the joking mood yesterday when she tweeted,

“My new roommate poops her pants and doesn’t pay rent…basically @daxshepard1 pre-sobriety J welcome baby Lincoln xo” she wrote.

She also referred to her new daughter as a, “mini marshmallow.”

Bell and Shepard desperately needed something to celebrate after Dax lost his father back in December of last year. The passing of his father was an extremely tough pill to swallow, especially considering their baby was due in just months. Dax wrote about the death of his father in a very emotional blog post earlier this month, and one part really stood out to us. It was when he talked about how Kristen Bell flew all the way from Los Angeles to visit his father before he passed away. He wrote,

“At one point, unbeknownst to both of us, my wife walked into the room…She lifted her shirt up and he put his hand on her swollen stomach. He left it there for the better part of an hour. He was smiling from ear to ear, sitting contently, unable to put together a sentence, but still capable of connecting to the new family member we were creating.” 

True love, folks. True love.
